Mumbai: BEST to scrap 1,063 buses

BEST said on Monday it will scrap 1,063 buses from its fleet, including 870 old single-decker diesel and 120 single-decker CNG buses, in 16 months. Committee members expressed surprise over so many buses being phased out when the fleet has already reduced from 4,200 to less than 3,200 in the past few years.
